How the sun sees you
This is a very powerful message about the importance of sunscreen and how damaging the sun really is. You will be blown away!!!

Hello!
Thank you for charing your story.
I was wondering if you know why your stage 1 melanoma spread? They normally doesn't or are at a very low risk of spreading. If you got clean margins, would this not give you better prognosis?
I have also been diagnosed with MM and I'm worried.
Do you know if anyone with in situ MM have had metastases?
Thank you. To answer your question, I don't have the answer to why my melanoma spread or how I could've gotten a different outcome (meaning, no recurrence). I can tell you, however, that it isn't common for a Stage 0 or 1 to have a recurrence. My doctor told me I had a 10% chance of recurrence. With that said though, I have known a few people like myself that recurred. Who knows what set it off and honestly, I don't think I could've changed anything in the past. I would tell you though, that if you're concerned, get a second opinion on your pathology report.
And no I don't know anyone that had melanoma in situ that had a metastases. Hopefully, that eases your min. ;)
